HOW IT ALL STARTED
Horizontal Trenchless and Vertical Drilling was established by André Kemp when he was contracted in 1995 as an electrician on the film set for Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer : “The Ghost and the darkness”
When the set had to be relocated to Kenya at great cost, André convinced the director that he could re-create a bush-like environment instead of having to travel.
He bought an old petrol/paraffin driven Massey Ferguson tractor nicknamed “Vaaljapie” and drilled 20 000 holes in which thorn trees were planted, saving Century films a fortune in production costs…
We became the most preferred Horizontal, Vertical Drilling, Trenching and Pipe jacking company ever since!
Our aim is to ensure clients’ satisfaction with their end goal product.
